Dear Ms. Simpson:
I am a teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve been looking for other math 7 teacher bloggers, and I’m delighted to have found your site. My blog is http://www.msnewburn.wordpress.com. It’s interesting that we both picked the exact same template.
I’ve been working on ways to make the math 7 curriculum more interactive and have included some YouTube videos that I made on my blog. You can also find the videos if you go to YouTube.com and search under “newburn math.” I’ve created a group called “math tutor”, which you can subscribe to that has about 25 math videos that are appropriate for 7th grade. Unfortunately YouTube is blocked at out school, but all of our students have internet access at home and they’ve been enjoying watching and sharing the videos.
Also, feel free to check out some of the Squidoo lenses that I created. The most complete ones are http://www.squidoo.com/integers/ and http://www.squidoo.com/Educating-Millennials. I am creating several others that cover math 7 topics. Please share them your students and other teachers.
I am on a campaign to support teachers and their students in integrating technology into their classrooms and beyond. Once again, it’s delightful to find another math teacher who is blogging. Thanks!
Best wishes,
Rebecca Newburn
